Hudson, BC
While in Northern BC, be sure to stop at the "Land of Dinosaurs and Dams." Overlooking the scenic Peace River, Hudson's Hope offers an abundance of fishing, paddling, and boating opportunities. Boaters along the river often see moose, elk, mule deer, white- tailed deer, and coyotes on shore. Don't forget your binoculars!
Hudson's Hope is also the place to catch a glimpse into the life of some even more impressive "animals." During construction of the WAC Bennett and the Peace Canyon Dams, builders unearthed an interesting discovery: Dinosaur remains! Learn about the inner workings of the WAC Bennett Dam with a free site tour, before continuing downstream to the Peace Canyon Dam to view life-size dinosaur models and an exciting photograph display. The Hudson's Hope Museum also offers a large exhibit of locally discovered fossils as well as a great pioneering and trapping display.
